The Motes NFT Collection
Each Mote is a programmable identity. The art is the face; the account is the authority.
The NFT as a programmable identity
Each of the 20,000 Motes NFTs is more than a profile asset. It is the public face of a dedicated agent and the reference point for the account and permission architecture.
An NFT can be displayed, held or transferred independently of the agent's decision-making logic. Financial permissions are enforced by smart contracts, not by the collectible.
Each token ID resolves to a particular account through a deterministic registry or binding scheme. The mapping stays stable and publicly inspectable, so an owner can find the on-chain account that belongs to an NFT without trusting a mutable website record.
Identity and account separation
| Layer | Responsibility | What it does not do |
|---|---|---|
| NFT | Identity, ownership reference and ecosystem participation | Hold AI model secrets on its own |
| Smart account | Hold assets, validate policy and execute signed calls | Predict markets by itself |
| Agent service | Formulate strategies, monitor signals, prepare transactions | Override immutable spending policy |
| Application | Present balances, settings and transaction history | Become the only route to recover assets |
Ownership is not custody
The NFT's owner manages the permissions of the associated agent account. Transferring an NFT with funded positions can transfer effective control of those positions under some token-bound account designs. The interface must never suggest that selling a funded NFT is the same as selling an empty collectible.
Character identity
Motes are small beings associated with light and observation. Visual traits and collectible metadata distinguish the NFTs. Financial functionality attaches to the account identity, not to any claim that certain artwork earns better returns. Unless formally specified, a trait implies no performance boost and no privileged execution.
